My Little Scythe – An Adventure in the Kingdom of Pomme 🥧🦊

My Little Scythe by Hoby Chou with his daughter Vienna Chou, illustrated by Katie Khau (Stonemaier Games), is a competitive, family-friendly adventure game for 1–6 players, taking about 45–60 minutes. It began as a fan-made print-and-play game and won BoardGameGeek's 2017 print-and-play award.

Each player controls two animal miniatures – a pair of Seekers – on an adventure in the Kingdom of Pomme. Your goal is to be the first to earn 4 trophies from 8 possible categories. On your turn, you choose one of three actions: Move, Seek or Make. These let you increase your friendship and pies, power up your actions with upgrade tiles, complete quests and learn magic spells. You discover precious resources with an innovative dice mechanism and deliver gems and apples to Castle Everfree. And if another Seeker gets in your way, you may even start a pie fight. Some of the mechanisms are inspired by Stonemaier's strategy game Scythe, but the rules are light and setup takes about five minutes, so the whole family can join in. The box contains seven pairs of Seeker miniatures, so even the last player still has a choice of animals.
