Jaipur – Become the Maharaja's Trader 🐪💎

Praised for its elegance and replayability since 2009, Jaipur is back in a second edition. Jaipur by Sébastien Pauchon, illustrated by Vincent Dutrait (Space Cowboys), is a trading card game for exactly 2 players, taking about 30 minutes.

You hope to become the Maharaja's personal trader by being richer than your opponent at the end of each week. Five cards lie face up in the market, starting with three camels. On your turn, you either take cards or sell cards – never both. You can take a single good, exchange several cards from your hand or herd for the same number from the market, or take all the camels. To sell, discard cards of one type and take the matching goods tokens – the earliest sales of a good earn the most rupees. Sell three cards or more at once and you also draw a bonus token. The most valuable goods – diamonds, gold and silver – must be sold at least two at a time. Camels have no sale value, but they are very useful for trading. A round ends when three types of goods tokens run out or the deck can no longer refill the market. The player with the biggest herd takes the camel token worth 5 rupees, and the richer trader receives a Seal of Excellence. The first player to collect two seals wins.
