Insider – Someone Already Knows the Answer 🕵️💬

Insider from Oink Games combines two challenges: finding the answer to a quiz and revealing the Insider who is secretly manipulating the discussion. For 4 to 8 players aged 9+, a game takes about 15 minutes.

At the start of each round, players secretly receive roles. The Master knows the secret word and answers questions. The Commons have to find the word. And one player is the Insider, who also knows the word but pretends to be an ordinary Common. Then the timer starts: the Commons ask the Master questions that can be answered with yes, no or “I don't know”, trying to work out the word before time runs out. If nobody guesses it, everyone loses. The Insider wants the group to succeed, so they steer the questions in the right direction – but carefully, because the second part of the round is all about them. Once the word has been guessed, the remaining time is used to discuss who might have been guiding the group. Was the person who guessed the word simply clever, or did they know too much? After the discussion, everyone votes. If the group identifies the Insider, the Master and the Commons win; if not, the Insider wins. The small box makes it easy to bring along to any gathering.
