Root: Landmarks Pack – New Places to Fight Over 🏰🌲

A small box that changes how the Woodland plays. Root: Landmarks Pack from Leder Games adds four screen-printed wooden landmarks to Root – you need the Root base game to play.

Before the game, the group chooses to play with one or two landmarks. You shuffle the chosen landmark cards, deal them out, and the players at the end of the turn order place each landmark as its card says. From then on, that clearing works differently and becomes a new reason to move, fight or negotiate. The Black Market, the Lost City, the Legendary Forge and the Elder Treetop each bring their own rule – the Elder Treetop, for example, sits in a corner clearing, adds an extra building slot there and gives an extra point to whoever removes an enemy building from it. The landmarks work with every Root map, so they keep familiar factions and boards feeling fresh. The pack also includes two cards that let you use the Ferry and the Tower from the Underworld expansion with the landmark rules.
