The Resistance – Trust No One, Complete the Mission 🕵️🔥

The Empire must fall. Our mission must succeed. But spies have infiltrated our ranks. The Resistance by Don Eskridge (Indie Boards & Cards) is a social deduction party game for 5–10 players, lasting about 30 minutes, with no player elimination.

At the start, each player secretly learns their role: loyal member of the Resistance or Imperial spy. The spies know who their fellow spies are; the Resistance does not. Over up to five missions, a rotating leader proposes a team to go on the mission, and everyone votes openly on whether to accept it. If the team is approved, its members secretly choose whether the mission succeeds or fails – Resistance members must support it, while spies may sabotage it. A single fail card is usually enough to make a mission fail. The Resistance wins when three missions succeed; the spies win when three missions fail. Every vote, every team proposal and every mission result gives you new clues, so the discussion gets more heated each round. Because no one is eliminated, everyone stays in the game until the very end. Inspired by Mafia and Werewolf, The Resistance gives players more information to work with and keeps every player involved, which makes it a favourite for bigger groups.
