Carcassonne: Jousts & Crests – The King's Tournament 👑⚔️

Let the tournament begin! Carcassonne: Jousts & Crests is expansion #6 in the 2025 edition of Carcassonne by Klaus-Jürgen Wrede, published by Hans im Glück – for 2 to 6 players aged 7 and up, in about 30 to 45 minutes.

In this expansion, you take part in the King's Tournament. A large tournament tile replaces the usual starting tile, and it shows three categories: a road tournament, a city tournament and a field tournament. Whenever you extend a feature containing one of your travellers, knights or farmers, you may nominate that meeple by secretly placing one of your numbered emblems underneath it. The land tiles are split into stacks, with prize tiles on top. When a stack runs out, a tournament is held in the category marked by the crown: everyone reveals the emblem of one matching meeple, and the size of its road, city or field is added to the number. The players with the highest values draw prize tiles – each showing a city with a statue. If you win outright, you keep your emblem and place it on that statue, where it scores you points at the end of the game. Then the crown moves on to the next category.
