Civolution – The Final Exam in Civilization Design 🌍🎲

Hello students! The faculty of the Technical Creation Academy welcomes you to Civolution, the most important exam in the field of civilization design. In Civolution by Stefan Feld, illustrated by Dennis Lohausen and published by Deep Print Games, 1 to 4 players aged 14 and up each take the rank of a local civilization deity.

This time the faculty has chosen a basic humanoid scenario on a closed continent. You are closely tied to your own civilization and must lead it to success in competition with the others. The development options are diverse and range from cultural and technical progress to evolutionary biological adaptations. What would advance your civilization more – the invention of the wheel or the development of wings? Prove that you have mastered the operation of your console and can adapt to variable environmental parameters. Civolution is a medium-to-heavy Euro-style game that uses a dice selection mechanism to activate actions in a tech tree. As you try to make the most of your dice and use your individual cards, new strategies keep emerging on the way to victory, and in each game you only discover a small part of the possibilities the system and cards offer. The exam ends after four epochs: whoever has gained the most success points with their civilization passes and may join the Technical Creation Academy as a full member.
