LAMA – Play, Draw or Drop Out 🦙🃏

The llama commands it: get rid of your minus points! LAMA by Reiner Knizia, illustrated by Rey Sommerkamp and Barbara Spelger and published by Amigo, is a quick card game for 2 to 6 players aged 8 and up, in about 20 minutes. It was nominated for the Spiel des Jahres 2019.

On your turn, play a card of the same value as the top card of the discard pile or one higher. Can’t play – or don’t want to? Then draw a card and hope you can use it later, or quit the round. Cards left in your hand at the end of the round become minus points in the form of tokens worth 1 or 10. If you manage to get rid of all your cards, you may return a token. The player with the fewest points at the end wins.
