Port Royal: The Adventure Begins – Set Sail on a Campaign ⚓🏴‍☠️

Weigh anchor with Port Royal: Das Abenteuer beginnt … from Pegasus Spiele! The second expansion for Alexander Pfister's successful card game adds a campaign mode to Port Royal. This is the German edition, with rules and card texts in German, and it requires the base game.

At the start of each game, you read out the prologue of the chapter you are about to play. Turns follow the familiar Port Royal rules, but before each turn, players reveal cards from an event deck. These cards ask you to collect certain crew members, trade with certain ships, or give you a bonus for the turn. Collection tasks come with a time limit, and when time runs out, new cards are added to the event deck. Which cards they are depends on whether the task was completed or not. The ending of each chapter also depends on the tasks you fulfilled, so it is worth playing through the campaign more than once to experience every card. You can play the adventure competitively against each other or cooperatively as a crew. The campaign is told in five consecutive chapters, and double-sided character cards give each player a role with special abilities that unlock as tasks are completed. The box holds 120 cards, 20 wooden cubes and a German rulebook, making Port Royal more atmospheric and exciting than ever.
