Root: The Exiles and Partisans Deck – A Wilder Woodland 🃏🦊

Root: The Exiles and Partisans Deck from Leder Games is an alternative 54-card shared deck for Root, with new illustrations by Kyle Ferrin. You need a copy of the Root board game to use it.

In Root, the shared deck is at the heart of the game: you use its cards to craft items and powers, to fulfil your faction's needs and to fight for control of the Woodland. The Exiles and Partisans deck simply replaces the standard deck, so the rules of Root stay the same – but the cards you draw offer a different set of possibilities. The deck contains twenty totally new abilities, with persistent powers inspired by the many factions of Root. With Soup Kitchens, you can make the creatures of the forest hold your rule. Saboteurs let you destroy the crafted cards of other players, and cards like Eyrie Émigré let you copy the abilities of other factions. Whether you have played a lot of Root and want to freshen up your games, or you are new to Root and want to jump straight into a wilder experience, this deck is designed for you. Because it is just a deck of cards, it is quick to swap in and out.
