Root – Rule the Woodland Kingdom 🌲🦊

Four factions, four completely different ways to play. Root: A Game of Woodland Might and Right by Cole Wehrle, illustrated by Kyle Ferrin and published by Leder Games, is an asymmetric board game of adventure and war for 2 to 4 players, in 60 to 90 minutes.

Every player has unique abilities and a different victory condition. The Marquise de Cat plays a game of engine building and logistics, collecting wood to build workshops, sawmills and barracks. The Eyrie musters their birds of prey to take back the woods – capturing territory and building roosts before they collapse into squabbling. The Woodland Alliance hides in the shadows, recruiting forces and hatching conspiracies for a dramatic late game. And the Vagabond plays all sides of the conflict for their own gain, exploring the board and working towards a hidden goal.
