Yokai Sketch – Draw Them Before They Flee 🖌️👻

Mischievous spirits are waiting to be captured on paper. Yokai Sketch by Ignasi Ferré, illustrated by Vincent Dutrait, is a card game for 2 players aged 12 and up from Devir's pocket collection.

The game uses two decks. The Yokai cards show one of four elements – water, fire, earth or wind – and carry point values. The sketch cards each show two elements, and some of them also have special abilities. On your turn, you slide a sketch card under one of the Yokai on the table, adding to the drawing of that spirit. When the number of sketches under a Yokai reaches its threshold, the player with the most sketches under it takes the Yokai and its points. But be careful: if both players have the same number of sketches, the Yokai is frightened and lost to both of you. Some sketch cards add powers that change the situation, such as calling a Yokai or distracting it, so you need to watch both your own hand and your opponent's choices. Every card you place is a small decision – commit to a Yokai you can win, or spread your sketches and hope your rival makes a mistake. The game ends when one of the decks is empty, and the player with the most points wins. The box contains 56 cards: 20 Yokai cards and 36 sketch cards.
