ASS Altenburger Skat, French Pattern – The Classic Deck for Germany's Card Game 🃏♣️

Skat is one of the great traditional card games of the German-speaking world. This ASS Altenburger Skat deck with French-pattern court cards gives you everything you need for the classic game for three players.

ASS Altenburger comes from Altenburg in Thuringia, the town widely regarded as the home of Skat. The deck contains the 32 cards used in Skat – from the sevens up to the aces in each of the four suits – plus one cover card, 33 cards in total. The French pattern uses the familiar international suits of clubs, spades, hearts and diamonds, so the cards are easy to read even for players who grew up with other decks. Each card measures 59 × 91 mm, a comfortable size for holding a full hand of ten cards. The deck is made from FSC-certified board and packed in a plastic-free folding box that slips easily into a bag for the next card evening at home or at the club. Beyond Skat, a 32-card deck also works for other classic games that use the short pack. Card games like Skat reward memory, counting and a little nerve when bidding, and they keep the table talking long after the last trick. This deck is sold as the German Edition.
