Poetry for Neanderthals Grab & Game – Speak Good, Win Game 🗿🗣️

Poetry for Neanderthals: Grab & Game is the travel-size edition of the word-guessing party game developed by Exploding Kittens, with original game design by Francesca Slade and Jacob Matthews. It is for 2 or more players aged 7+ and plays in about 10 minutes.

Form two teams. The Poet draws a Poetry Card and the other team starts a 60-second timer. Now the Poet must get their team to say the word on the card, but they can only speak using words with one syllable. No saying the word or any part of it, no gestures and no "sounds like" clues. Everyone on the team can shout out guesses at the same time, and each correct card is worth one point. Want to skip a card? You can, but it goes to the other team as a point. On the other team, the Judge can see the Poet's card. If the Poet breaks a rule, the Judge shouts "No!" and takes the card for their own team. When both teams have had at least three turns, the team with the most points wins. To save on plastic, there is no timer in the box: use a phone or an egg timer. With 60 cards in a compact box, it is easy to bring along to a café or on a trip.
