Pictures: X-Mas – Two Festive Sets for Pictures 🎄📸

Pictures: X-Mas by PD-Verlag is a Christmas expansion for Pictures, the Spiel des Jahres 2020 winner by Daniela and Christian Stöhr. It adds two new sets of materials and new photo cards. You need the original Pictures to play.

In Pictures, every player secretly gets one of the photos laid out on the table and has to recreate it with a set of materials so that the others can guess which photo it is. X-Mas brings two new sets to the table. With the gift bag, you place as many of its items as you like inside the bag and hide the rest behind your screen; the other players then feel the items in the bag – without looking – and try to recognise your photo. The bag holds a Christmas ball, three wooden pieces (star, house, rectangle), two pawns, a chain, a cotton ball, a cinnamon stick and a stone. With the Christmas table setting, you assemble the two-part plate and decorate it with as many of the 24 cardboard decorations as you need, keeping every piece on the plate. Both new sets are added to the original ones, and before each game you choose which five sets to use. The rules also cover 6 players. On top of that come 55 new photo cards, a score pad and the rules in German and English – a festive twist for family rounds.
