Challengers! – The World's Greatest Capture the Flag Tournament 🏆🚩

From outer space aliens to deep-sea creatures – improbable allies working toward a common goal. Challengers! by Johannes Krenner and Markus Slawitscheck, published by Z-Man Games, won the Kennerspiel des Jahres 2023 and plays with 1–8 players aged 8+ in about 45 minutes.

Up to eight coaches build teams from decks of cards and send them into duels for the flag. For each match, players switch places around the table to face a new opponent, so the whole group plays at the same time. Defeated cards go to your substitutes' bench – but space there is small, and if there is no room on the bench or you run out of cards, you lose the duel. Between matches, you adapt your team: add up to two new recruits and remove as many cards as you like. Will you rely on special effects that boost other cards, or a pure show of strength with high numbers? Once your deck is shuffled, the T-Rex, the rubber duck and the vacuum cleaner are on their own. The tournament builds all the way to a final duel between the two top players. The box includes 8 starter decks, a robot deck, a basic City set and six additional 40-card sets, plus tournament plans, parks, flags, fans, trophies and card trays.
