Detective: Dig Deeper – A Murder in 1977 🕵️📼

Spring 1977. A murder takes place in Arlington near Boston. The victim, Peter Colvin, age 32, was a town selectman with a promising career, found dead near his car in the parking lot behind Town Hall. You have only 4 days to find out who killed him and why. Dig Deeper is a case for Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game from Portal Games, for 1–5 players aged 16+.

Dig Deeper opens the Signature Series, in which great storytellers take the Detective engine and use it to tell their own stories. This first case is written by industry veteran Rob Daviau (Pandemic Legacy, Cthulhu: Death May Die, Downforce), and he takes you to the Boston suburbs of the 1970s. The city has seen better days – what a time to fight crime. Because the case takes place in the past, new mechanisms were added. Investigators can seek information with the help of librarians and actively question witnesses with a new Questioning mechanism. The expansion comes with 5 new characters to play, a new game board, a cover card and 35 Lead cards. As in the base game, the team works together and shares Stress, Authority and Skill tokens – you will not be able to read the whole deck, so you need to deduce your answers. It uses most of the base rules, so you need Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game to play.
