Blaze – Seek the Feathers of the Firebird 🔥🪶

A classic card game in a fiery new form. Blaze from HeidelBÄR Games is based on the Russian classic Durak – a card game for 3 to 5 players aged 10 and up, in about 20 minutes, with artwork by Nadezhda Mikryukova.

Every challenge involves three roles. The Fire player attacks by playing up to five cards of the same number; the Ash player must beat each card with a higher card of the same suit or a trump – or pass and take them all; the Ember player can support Fire with more cards of a matching value. Then the roles move on. In the Kindling phase you build the strongest hand possible with as few cards as you can, and in the Burn phase you race to empty your hand. Whoever runs out of cards first earns the most valuable Feather card. The Firebirds are worth 10 for Fire and Ember – but 0 for Ash. After two rounds, the player with the most points wins. A betting variant adds even more heat.
