Really Loud Librarians – Think Fast, Not Hard 📚🔊

Really Loud Librarians from Exploding Kittens is the word game where your useless knowledge wins you useful points. Designed by Ken Gruhl and Quentin Weir, it is for 2 or more players aged 8+ and takes about 20 minutes.

Split into two teams. At the start, you pick one category number from 1 to 4 to use for the whole game, since each category card has four. On your team's turn, the other team starts the one-minute timer, and you shout out words that fit the category and begin with one of the three letters highlighted by the Chain on the board. Every correct answer moves the Chain so that your Librarian covers the first letter of that word, revealing a fresh set of letters, and you cannot repeat a word during the turn. Before each round a Letter Tile is flipped, and landing on that letter earns a bonus token, which only counts if your team wins the round. If your team comes up with more words than the other team, you earn points, and the first team to reach 12 points wins. It is fast, noisy and meant to be played with the volume up, which is exactly the point: this library has no silence rule.
