The Magic Labyrinth – Beware the Invisible Walls 🧙✨

Bonk! Ouch! Is that a wall? The Magic Labyrinth by Dirk Baumann, from Drei Magier Spiele, is a magnetic memory game for 2 to 4 players aged 6 and up, in which young magicians search a maze for magic symbols.

The magician apprentices are curiously exploring the magic labyrinth, and they have an important task today: the search for the magic symbols. That would be quite easy if the big magicians didn't play a prank on the children now and then – as if by magic, ways remain closed and hidden tunnels are revealed. The secret lies in the multi-layer playing field. Under the floor plate sits an underground labyrinth built from 24 wooden walls, which you set up at the start of the game – and which nobody can see once the board is on top. Each player's magician pawn holds a small metal ball underneath with a magnet. On your turn you roll the die and move your magician through the labyrinth, trying to reach the magic symbol that is currently being searched for. If you bump into an invisible wall, the ball drops off, and you have to go back to your starting corner. So pay close attention: you will need to remember where the walls are – both from your own moves and from the moves of the other players. The first player to collect five magic symbols wins.
