Viva Topo! – Run, Little Mice, Run 🐭🧀

Somewhere at the end of the path lies a land full of cheese – but a cat is following the mice. Viva Topo! by Manfred Ludwig won the Kinderspiel des Jahres (Children's Game of the Year) award in 2003, and the Pegasus Spiele edition brings it to 2–4 players aged 4+.

Each player has a family of mice that sets off from the same safe home. On your turn you roll the special die and move one of your mice forward along the path that runs around the board. Along the way there are mouse houses with cheese – smaller pieces close to home, bigger pieces further on, and the most cheese in the land of plenty at the end. But if the die shows the cat, the cat moves instead, and every mouse it reaches is caught. The cat gets faster as the game goes on, so you have to decide: stop early in a safe house, or risk the long run for more cheese? When all mice are home safe or caught, whoever has collected the most cheese wins. The simple rules give young children their first taste of tactics, while parents and older siblings enjoy the tension too.
