Carcassonne Expansion #7 – Siege & Defense: Hold the Walls! 🏰🛡️

The city is under attack, and every meeple you commit to defence could decide the battle.

Siege & Defense is the seventh expansion in Hans im Glück's refreshed 2025 Carcassonne line. Siege symbols on new tiles bring catapults to the fortress's three defence posts – invest meeples to score when attacks come, or risk losing a knight, traveller or monk. For 2–6 players, ages 7+.

🛡️ Defend the City

Place meeples at the fortress defence posts for travellers, knights and monks – each defender scores 3 points when its post is attacked.

🪨 Catapults Advance

Draw a tile with a siege symbol and a catapult moves up; a second catapult at the same post triggers an attack.

⚖️ Risk & Reward

No defender at an attacked post? You may have to remove one of your meeples from the board – every decision is tense.

🧍 Extra Meeples

12 additional standard meeples give you enough figures to build and defend at the same time.

📦 What's in the Box

• 🧩 18 land tiles
• 🏰 2 fortress tiles (two-sided)
• 🪨 3 catapults
