King of New York – Stomp the Big Apple 🗽🦖

Become a giant monster in King of New York from IELLO! Designed by Richard Garfield, the game takes the basic principles of King of Tokyo and adds a host of new features. Roll the dice, use tactics and make the right combination as 2–6 players aged 8+ fight to become the King of New York.

The city is split into five boroughs: Staten Island, The Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan, which is divided into Lower, Midtown and Upper Manhattan. On your turn, you roll the dice up to three times, keeping the faces you want. Energy buys new abilities from the cards, Attack damages rival monsters, Heal restores lost life unless you are in Manhattan, and Destruction lets you crush buildings in your borough for rewards. Watch out, though: every Ouch! face you roll sends military units firing at you, and enough of them trigger a counterattack by the entire army. The monster who starts it is joined by the Statue of Liberty and becomes the city's defender. Roll enough Celebrity faces and you claim the Superstar card, which earns points for further Celebrity rolls until a rival steals it. The first monster to reach 20 victory points, or the last one standing, is declared King of New York. Six monster boards and cardboard figures, eight dice and plenty of tiles bring the rampage to life.
