Dragonkeepers – Who Guards the Young Dragons Best? 🐲📖

A magical card game for the whole family. Dragonkeepers by Michael Menzel, who also illustrated it, published by Kosmos, is a card game for 2 to 4 players aged 8 and up, in about 20 minutes.

You become a sorceress or sorcerer and collect dragons of one colour to earn pieces of magical amulets. Two card piles in the middle of the table form the magic book: the backs of the cards show numbers or dragons, and the book tells you how many dragons of which colour you may play. On your turn, you take dragon cards from the display into your hand. Then you can enchant the magic book by placing one of your cards face down on its left or right page – and change the rules to suit you. Finally, you play as many dragon cards as the book shows and collect your reward. Do you play many dragons of one kind at once, or complete amulets as quickly as possible and receive valuable pearls? The right tactics are needed. As soon as the players have completed a certain number of amulets together, the game ends, and the amulet pieces and pearls are counted. The 123 large-format cards are lovingly illustrated, and the simple rules let you start right away.
