Size Up – How Big Is It Really? 📏😂

How wide is your friend's smile? How long is your neighbour's thumb? Size Up by Ikhwan Kwon, illustrated by Felix Kindelán and published by Helvetiq, is an estimation party game with a real tape measure – for 2 to 10 players aged 7 and up, in about 15 to 30 minutes.

Everyone starts with ten number cards from 1 to 100. The drawer reveals a challenge card – a body part, an object or a freestyle task – chooses who or what will be measured (never themselves!) and decides whether to measure in centimetres or millimetres. Now every player secretly plays one or two number cards; two cards are added together. Then the drawer takes the tape measure and checks the real size. Whoever guessed closest wins the challenge card, and in case of a tie, all tied players win one. The first player to collect five challenge cards wins the game. Your sense of proportion will be tested – and you will probably learn some surprising things about the people around the table. For a quick round, a variant without challenge cards is also included.
