Zoomino – Frame the Animals for Your Zoo 🦁🖼️

In Zoomino, you want to frame as many animals as possible to display them in your zoo. This domino game by Grégoire and Jules Largey, illustrated by Pierre Willot and published by Gigamic, is for 2 to 4 children aged 4 to 7, in about 10 minutes.

Each player takes eight frames in their colour, the dominoes are shuffled face down on the table, and everyone starts with two dominoes in hand. On your turn, you place one domino in your own play area and give the other face down to the player on your left. Then you draw a new domino so that you have two in hand again. Dominoes are placed horizontally and next to other tiles so that they form at least one animal. If you create a real animal, frame it! If both backgrounds of the animal match your player colour, you use the solid side of the frame, worth 2 points; otherwise you use the multi-coloured side, worth 1 point. The game ends when the draw pile is empty or someone has placed their eighth frame. Everyone adds up their points, and in case of a tie, the player with the most imaginary animals on a background of their colour wins.
