Saboteur – Gold, Tunnels and a Traitor ⛏️💰

Deep in the mountain, a group of dwarves is digging for gold – but not all of them want the tunnel to reach it. Saboteur by Frédéric Moyersoen is a hidden-role card game for 3 to 10 players aged 8 and up, in about 30 minutes.

At the start of each round, everyone secretly receives a role: most players are gold-diggers, but a few are saboteurs. The diggers try to build a tunnel of path cards from the start card to the treasure hidden behind one of the three goal cards. The saboteurs try to stop them without being found out – by laying dead ends, wasting their turns or breaking tools at just the right moment. Action cards make things tense: break another player's lamp, pickaxe or mine cart so they cannot build until it is repaired, peek secretly at a goal card with a map, or cause a rockfall to remove a piece of the tunnel. Who is helping and who is quietly sabotaging? You will have to watch closely and decide whom to trust. If the diggers reach the gold, they share the reward; if not, the saboteurs take it. After three rounds, the player with the most gold wins. With up to 10 players, it is a great choice for big groups and lively game nights.
