ASS Altenburger Skat – German Pattern, Classic Game 🃏🌰

This is the classic Skat deck from ASS Altenburger in its new look, with the traditional German pattern. Inside the folding box you find 32 Skat cards plus one cover card. Suitable for 3 to 4 players aged 10+.

The German pattern uses acorns, leaves, hearts and bells as suits, and each suit runs from 7 to Ace with Unter, Ober and King as face cards. These are exactly the 32 cards you need for Skat, the much-loved German trick-taking game, in which one declarer plays against the other two. With four at the table, the dealer simply sits out for that hand. A single game takes only about 5 to 15 minutes, so a full evening of Skat fits many rounds. The cards carry the genuine ASS Altenburger card design, measure 59 × 91 mm and are wrapped in paper instead of plastic inside the folding box. ASS Altenburger has been making playing cards in Altenburg, Germany, since 1765 and calls itself the oldest known playing-card company in Europe. The deck suits regular Skat evenings with friends, a quiet round with the family and players who prefer the German pattern to the French one. It also makes a small gift for anyone who loves classic card games.
