Tricky Traders – A Little Sabotage at the Market 🧺🐀

The weekly market has begun, and eager customers are everywhere – unfortunately, even at your competitors' stalls. Luckily, with all the hustle and bustle, the odd bit of sabotage is unlikely to be noticed. Tricky Traders by Colin Dömer, published by Pegasus Spiele, is a tactical duel for 2 players aged 10 and up, in about 20 to 40 minutes.

Two rival guilds compete by moving customers, rats and characters among seven market stalls, trying to manipulate the market to their advantage. Each player has secret goals: one stall you want to flourish and another you want to fall into ruin. The game runs over three market days, each divided into three phases. In every phase, both players play two influence cards, which let you move the characters or trigger their special actions. Depending on where the characters stand, this can bring fame or sabotage to the surrounding stalls, and the presence or absence of customers and rats also affects each day's scoring of fame. Because your opponent's goals are hidden too, you have to read their moves, bluff a little and keep your own plans quiet. At the end of the third day, both players reveal their goal cards and score how well they supported and sabotaged their target stalls. The player with the higher total wins.
