Papageno – Here Comes the Bird Catcher 🐦🎶

In an enchanted kingdom, a flock of colourful birds crowds onto the branches. Papageno by Kevin Kichan Kim and Felix Kindelán, published by Helvetiq in its Pocket Games collection, is a tactical card game for 2 to 5 players aged 6 and up, in about 15 minutes.

Can you collect the finest singers on your wire? Be careful – your wire is fragile, and only the lightest birds will bring you victory. In this collecting game with simple rules, you pick up bird cards, swap heavy birds for lighter ones and try to find the right balance. Papageno, the famous bird catcher from Mozart's opera The Magic Flute, helps you lure birds onto your wire – and stir up chaos on your opponents' wires. Special cards add a twist: flute cards, capture cards and egg cards change what lands on whose wire. At the end of a round, the player with the lightest bird colony wins it, and whoever wins two rounds wins the game. The colourful design appeals to young and old, there is plenty of interaction between players, and the small box fits into any pocket.
