Just Wild – Survival Is a Question of Territory 🐺🌲

Lynx, bear, wolf or ibex: choose your animal and cleverly lay down cards to expand and protect your territory. Just Wild by Marco Franchin and Leo Colovini, illustrated by Salomé Gautier, is a card game from Helvetiq for 2–4 players aged 8+.

In Just Wild, four endangered species have to share the same space. Each player takes on one of them – the lynx, the bear, the wolf or the ibex – and tries to make room for their animals in the forest. Place your cards carefully to block your opponents and make sure your species survives. On your turn, you can add up the cards already on the table to cover the cards of your fellow players. Or you can place a card face down to extend the forest and create a new space to discover. In the end, the first player to secure their territory by cleverly placing their tiles to protect the youngest animals of their species wins. The game mixes adding up numbers and hand management with a touch of luck, so it gets the brain working – and children practise mental arithmetic along the way. A booklet with information about the four endangered animals is included. The game was made in collaboration with La Salamandre.
