Fish'n Flip – Cut the Nets Together! 🐠🎣

Fishing nets that scour the ocean floor don't just catch fish – they also trap many sea animals that don't belong on our plates. In Fish'n Flip by Kevin Luhn and Dominik Wendland (Helvetiq), you play together to free as many animals as possible. For 1–4 players aged 7+, in about 20 minutes.

Whales, swordfish, octopuses, turtles, dolphins, jellyfish, rays and sharks are caught in the nets. Talk it over with the other players and use your action cards wisely to move and flip the animal cards and set off cascading movements that free them. The mechanics may well remind you of a game of Tetris. Each animal has its own power card, and you can combine these powers cleverly to pull off strong combos. Each player can only use their special ability on their own turn, so to clear the nets you need to move together. Watch out for the waste cards – plastic, metal and oil – that get in the way. The emptier the nets are at the end of the game, the more points you earn. You can play cooperatively or competitively. The box also contains a booklet about overfishing and ocean protection, and the game is made from cardboard, paper and wood, without plastic. It is part of a collection made in partnership with the magazine La Salamandre.
