Pylos Mini – Crown the Pyramid 🔺🪵

A classic wooden duel in a travel-friendly size. Pylos Mini by David G. Royffe, published by Gigamic, is an abstract strategy game for 2 players aged 8 and up, in about 10 to 20 minutes.

Each player has 15 wooden balls in their own colour, and together you build a pyramid on the board. On your turn, you place one ball from your reserve on the board – or you move one of your balls that is free up a level, onto a square formed by four balls. Moving up saves a ball from your reserve, and that is the heart of the game: whoever runs out of balls first loses. If you complete a square of four balls in your own colour, you may take one or two of your balls back from the pyramid, as long as nothing rests on them. Every saved ball gives you more time, while your opponent tries to do the same. The player who places their ball on the very top of the pyramid wins. The rules are the same as in classic Pylos, just in a smaller box with a wooden board, 30 wooden balls and a bag, so you can take it on holiday or play a quick round on the go.
