Dive beneath the waves with AQUA: Biodiversity in the Oceans from The Op! In this tile-laying game you grow a thriving coral reef and fill it with marine life. It is designed for 1–4 players aged 8+, takes about 30–45 minutes and offers a solo mode plus optional modes.

Your starting point is a hot spot that gradually becomes surrounded by expanding coral formations. These corals serve as habitats for small marine animals, and by fostering biodiverse habitats you can attract the largest animals of the sea. The game plays over 17 rounds. On each turn you take a coral tile from the market and add it to your reef, and then you may attract animals to your reef if you have the correct coral patterns to support them. Planning ahead pays off, because the shape and colour of your formations decide which creatures can settle. At the end of the game, the player with the strongest coral formations and the most animals scores the most points. Ecosystem tiles shape the scoring, and an advanced variant uses additional ecosystems for a fresh challenge. The game was designed by Dan Halstad and Tristan Halstad and illustrated by Vincent Dutrait. Inside the box you will find 70 coral tiles, 72 small animal tiles, 15 large animal tiles, 24 ecosystem tiles, a sea snail first-player token, 4 hot spot tiles, a score pad and the rulebook.
