Cryptid – Find the Creature Before Your Rivals Do 🦶🔍

You've studied the footage, connected the dots and gathered what meagre evidence you could. Cryptid by Hal Duncan and Ruth Veevers, illustrated by Kwanchai Moriya and published by Osprey Games, is a deduction game of honest misdirection for 3 to 5 players, in about 30 to 50 minutes.

A group of like-minded cryptozoologists has come together to finally uncover the elusive creature, but the glory of discovery is too rich to share. Each player holds one piece of evidence about the habitat, such as the terrain it lives in or how close it is to certain structures. On your turn, you either question or search. To question, place the pawn on a space and ask another player whether the creature could be there; they must answer honestly by placing a disc (yes) or a cube (no). If they place a cube, you must also place a cube somewhere your own clue rules out. To search, choose a space your clue allows and ask everyone in turn – the first cube ends the search, but if nobody places one, you have found the habitat and win. The modular board, five clue books and a deck of setup cards offer hundreds of setups across two difficulty levels, and an optional digital companion makes setup even faster.
