Ticket to Ride USA – All Aboard Across America 🚂🗽

Ticket to Ride by Alan R. Moon, published by Days of Wonder, is the railway adventure across North America that introduced many families to modern board games. It is for 2 to 5 players aged 8+ and plays in about 30 to 60 minutes.

Each player starts with a set of 45 plastic trains and secret Destination Tickets showing two cities to connect. On your turn you do one of three things: draw train cards, claim a route by playing a set of cards that matches its colour and length, or take more tickets. Locomotives are wild and can stand in for any colour. Longer routes score more points, and at the end you score for every ticket you completed, but lose points for every ticket you did not. The player with the longest continuous path earns a bonus card. The rules take minutes to explain, yet the choices stay interesting: grab the route you need before someone blocks it, or collect cards a little longer for a bigger move? Two editions are available. The classic edition includes 30 Destination Tickets. The 2025 refresh edition has updated art, larger cards and 33 Destination Tickets, and you start by drawing four tickets and keeping at least two. Both include a board of North America, 110 train cards with 14 locomotives, trains and scoring markers in five colours and the longest path bonus card.
