Detective: Season One – Don't Play a Detective, Be One 🕵️🗂️

Detectives, we have three new cases that require your expertise. Detective: Season One by Weronika Spyra, Ignacy Trzewiczek and Merry Trzewiczek, published by Portal Games, is a stand-alone, fully cooperative investigation game for 1 to 5 players.

Based on Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game, Season One brings three unique cases with varying styles and locations. You investigate the murder of a dactyloscopy specialist, scrutinise the motives of an English family for the murder of a wealthy patron, and take a dark trip into the mafia underground, with cases set on a campus, in the Italian district of Boston and in an old mansion in England. Gather your friends, prepare your notebooks, pencils, coffee and doughnuts, and get to work: write down your clues, connect the facts and avoid the pitfalls of false leads. Each case is a 24-card deck, and new investigator boards specify the work you have to do. 24 portraits of suspects let you build a corkboard, connect them with red yarn and uncover a network of criminal connections. The cases use an updated Antares database, a lighter and wittier style, and can be solved in several ways. Thanks to its own game board, markers and tokens, Season One is fully stand-alone – no base game needed – and it can even be played online via video call.
