FYFE – What Will You Find in the Sand? 🏝️🧩

The cover shows a dreamy South Sea setting with blue sea, beach and palm trees – but what will you find when you dig in the sand? FYFE by Kosch, illustrated by Lukas Siegmon and published by Edition Spielwiese with Pegasus Spiele, is an abstract placement game for 2 to 5 players aged 10 and up, in about 30 to 45 minutes.

Everyone starts with the same game board: a personal 5 × 5 grid. The game contains 125 wooden pieces, each showing one of five colours, one of five symbols and one of five numbers. In each round you draw a piece, place one of your pieces on an empty space on your grid, and whenever the row, column or diagonal of the new piece has no scoring board yet, you assign one there. The scoring boards set conditions – such as the numbers 1 to 5 in the right order, pieces of the same colour, pieces with different symbols, or three of one colour and two of another. As soon as a line is filled with five pieces and its conditions are met, you flip its scoring board to the side with the points. If you are quick and skilful, you also earn bonus points. Lucky charms give you special one-time abilities. After 25 rounds, everyone adds up their scoring boards, lucky charms and bonuses, and the highest total wins.
