Wine & Cheese – A Neighbourly Duel in Burgundy 🍷🧀

The neighbourhood competition from Beer & Bread has moved to Burgundy. Wine & Cheese by Scott Almes, with artwork by Michael Menzel and Alexander Jung, is a challenging two-player game from Deep Print Games for ages 12 and up, in about 45–75 minutes.

In beautiful Burgundy, each of you runs a traditional farm where both wine and cheese are produced. You share vineyards, pastures and labour as neighbours, yet you are still in direct competition. For two years, you must prove that you can master the demanding tasks of wine and cheese production. Procuring the ingredients takes skill: workers are sent out in pairs to the plots in spring and brought back in autumn. Good timing is essential – not only to produce and mature the wine and cheese at their highest quality, but also to sell them at the right moment. Above all, keep a balance between wine and cheese: at the end of the two years, each farm is only rewarded for the product that earned the fewest coins. Wine & Cheese is the spiritual successor to Beer & Bread, but it is not just the same game in a new guise – it is more complex, and the mechanics are different.
