Caesar & Cleopatra – A Duel for Rome and Egypt 👑🏛️

Theirs is one of history's most famous stories: a bittersweet struggle between love and power. Caesar wants to expand Rome's influence over Egypt, and Cleopatra fights for her country's independence. In Caesar & Cleopatra, a classic card game by Wolfgang Lüdtke, one player takes each side. It is for exactly 2 players aged 10+ and takes about 40 minutes.

You take turns playing cards to increase your influence over five groups of Roman patricians: praetors, quaestors, aediles, censors and consuls. Influence cards can be placed face down, so your opponent never quite knows how strong your position really is, and action cards let you change the situation at the right moment. After each turn there may be a vote of confidence, and the patrician then sides with the leader who has the most influence over that group. You score points for every patrician card you win, for majorities and for completing your secret missions, and whoever has the most points at the end wins. It is a tense, tactical duel with bluffing, timing and hidden information. In our shop, you can choose the English edition from Kosmos or the Slovenian-Croatian edition from Igroljub (Cezar & Kleopatra).
