Dog Lover – Rescue, Feed and Train Your Pups 🐶🦴

Like so many people, from royalty to your next-door neighbour, the players are dog lovers sharing the joy of adorable dogs. Dog Lover by David Short (AEG) is a card drafting game for 2–4 players aged 10+, in about 30 minutes.

During the game you fetch cards, collect bones and gather food for your lovable dogs. Cards are drafted, so every pick matters: the card you take may be exactly the one another player was hoping for. Feed your dogs with food cubes, rescue new dogs from the shelter, train them in new tricks and give them the things they love. Every dog has its own needs and traits, and caring for them well is how you score. The Dog Trick cards and the Watch Dog token add extra decisions to each round, while the rules stay quick to teach. The illustrations by Caravan Studio are full of charm, and every round brings small, satisfying choices for the whole table. Think ahead about which dogs you can really look after, because a hungry pup does not help your score. At the end of the game, the player who has taken the greatest care of their beloved dogs has the most victory points and wins.
