Pictures – Can You Build the Photo? 📸🧩

One secret photo, a handful of odd materials and no talking about it. Pictures by Daniela and Christian Stöhr won the Spiel des Jahres 2020 – a quick creative family game with very simple rules for 3 to 5 players aged 8 and up.

Draw a marker from the bag to find your secret picture card. Then form that image with your set of components – shoelaces, colour cubes, icon cards, sticks and stones or building blocks – so that it can be recognised. Finally, guess which photo each of the other players has pictured.

👟 Two Shoelaces

Lay out lines and shapes.

🟦 24 Colour Cubes

Build a pixel picture in the frame.

🪵 Sticks and Stones

Four sticks and four stones – that is all you get.

🧱 Blocks and Icon Cards

Two more ways to show your photo.
