Azul: Summer Pavilion – Honour the Royal Family ☀️🧩

Return to Portugal in Azul: Summer Pavilion from Next Move Games! At the turn of the 16th century, King Manuel I wanted a Summer Pavilion to honour the royal family, but he died before construction began. Now 2–4 players aged 8+ take on that task in 30–45 minutes.

As a master artisan, you must use the finest materials to build the pavilion while carefully avoiding wasting supplies. The game lasts six rounds, and each round has its own wild colour, in the order purple, green, orange, yellow, blue and red. During the drafting phase, players take turns picking all tiles of one colour from a factory display or the centre of the table; if wild tiles are present, you also take one of them. Afterwards, you spend tiles to place them on the star-shaped spaces of your player board. Each space shows a number, and you must pay that many tiles of the star's colour, though wild tiles may replace some of them, as long as at least one tile of the needed colour is used. Completing stars and surrounding pillars, statues and windows earns bonus tiles and points, while unused tiles you keep at the end of a round can cost you. The box contains 132 resin tiles, 4 player boards, a game board, 9 factory displays, a linen bag, a tower, a round counter, 4 scoring markers, 4 point counters, a start player token and a rulebook.
