Qwixx: The Card Game – Qwixx with Cards 🃏✖️

The dice game Qwixx (nominated for Game of the Year 2013) as a card game. Qwixx: The Card Game by Steffen Benndorf and Reinhard Staupe is a card game from NSV for 2–5 players aged 8 and up, in about 15 minutes.

The Qwixx feeling remains completely intact, but you can plan better and make several crosses at once. Everyone has a score sheet with four coloured rows. In each row, numbers must always be crossed out from left to right – you can skip numbers, but you can't cross them out later. On your turn, you pick up cards from the four-card tableau until you have five in your hand. Then you call out the number showing on the draw pile, and all players may cross out this number in any row. Finally, you play one card, or up to three cards of the same colour, and cross out the matching numbers in that row. Cross out nothing during your turn and you take a misthrow. A row can only be locked after at least five crosses. The game ends when someone has locked two rows or has four misthrows. The more numbers you have crossed out in a row, the more points it scores; whoever has the most points wins. A joker variant with 11 joker cards adds more choice.
