Knaster – Poker Hands in a 5×5 Grid 🎲✏️

One roll, every player at once, and a lot of clever planning – Knaster is the bigger sibling of the NSV dice classic Knister, for 1 to 12 players aged 8 and up.

Each round, one player rolls both dice and calls out the sum, from 2 to 12. Everyone, including the roller, must either write that number into an empty box of their 5×5 grid or circle the same number if it is already there. When you complete a row – across, down or diagonal – with a useful result, you circle extra numbers in it straight away: one for three of a kind or two pairs, two for four of a kind or a full house, three for five of a kind or a straight. A straight is five consecutive numbers in any order. Only rows where all five numbers are circled score their victory points, and every circled number in the grid adds a point at the end. When someone fills all 25 boxes, there is one last roll, then the highest total wins. Solo, you try to beat your own record.
