Go for Gold – Treasure Hunt on a Mysterious Island 🏝️🎲

A big adventure in a tiny format. Go for Gold by Kaddy Arendt and Steffen Benndorf, published by NSV in the pocket-sized MINNYS series, is a roll-and-write dice game for 2 to 4 players aged 8 and up, in about 10 minutes.

Everyone goes on a great treasure hunt and tries to score as many points as possible on the mysterious island. In clockwise order, one player is the active player and rolls the die once – and the roll counts for everyone. Then all players move exactly that many hexes on their own sheet, drawing their path across the jungle and never stepping on a field they have already visited. Along the way you collect shovels and feet: a foot lets you ignore the roll and move any distance from 1 to 6. If your move ends on a treasure, the luck of the dice decides whether you dig it up – and every shovel helps. The really lucrative points wait in the temples, but you should collect enough shovels before you go in. Harbours let you jump to another part of the island once per game. As soon as someone has filled six scoring boxes, the final scoring begins. The B side of the sheet adds extra game elements for more variety.
