Railroad Ink: Blazing Red – Routes, Lava and Meteors 🚂🌋

Draw a network of roads and railways – and keep it standing while volcanoes erupt and meteors fall. Railroad Ink: Blazing Red Edition by Hjalmar Hach and Lorenzo Silva, published by Horrible Guild, is a roll-and-write puzzle game for 1 to 6 players aged 8 and up, in about 15 to 30 minutes.

Each round, the four route dice are rolled once in the middle of the table, and every player draws the same routes on their own erasable board at the same time. Your goal is to connect as many exits on the edge of your board as possible: the more exits you link into one network, the more points it is worth. Stations let you join a railway to a highway, and overpasses let the two cross without connecting. Bonus points go to your longest railway, your longest highway and the central spaces – but every incomplete route costs you points, so plan carefully. Will you stretch your network to the next exit or play it safe? The Blazing Red Edition includes two optional expansions with their own dice: in the Lava expansion, you must contain lava lakes from erupting volcanoes before they destroy your routes; in the Meteor expansion, meteors strike your board each round, leaving craters you can mine for precious ore. Combine boxes to play with even more people.
