Hanabi – Light Up the Sky Together 🎆🃏

The show is about to start, and the absent-minded fireworks makers have mixed up their powders, fuses and rockets! Hanabi, designed by Antoine Bauza and published in English by R&R Games, is a cooperative card game for 2 to 5 players aged 8+, and a game takes about 30 minutes. It won the Spiel des Jahres in 2013.

Each player is dealt a hand of cards, but there is a catch: you hold your cards facing outward, so you can see everyone's cards except your own. Working together, you must share – and remember – vital information so that the cards are played in the proper launch sequence, from 1 to 5 in each colour. On your turn, you give a clue about a colour or a number in another player's hand, discard a card to regain a clue token, or play a card and hope it is the right one. Clues are scarce, and every wrong play brings the team closer to a fizzling fiasco. Light all the fireworks to create a dazzling display! The box also includes a multicolour suit for variants that add a sixth firework or make those cards wild. Hanabi is small and quick to teach, and it fits well into family game nights and trips.
