Ares Expedition: Foundations – More Players, New Track 🏗️🔴

Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition – Foundations brings the Ares Expedition you love all the way up to six players. This is an expansion, not a standalone game: Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition is required.

Alongside temperature, oxygen and oceans, Foundations adds a new terraforming metric track, infrastructure, which fits along the top of your board. The standard project to increase infrastructure costs a mixture of heat and plants, so it rewards a balanced economy, and every time you raise infrastructure you also draw a bonus card. Twenty brand new project cards bring fresh strategies for infrastructure specialisation and keep the deck balanced between the old terraforming metrics and the new one. For the fifth and sixth player, the box includes two dual-layer player boards, 26 player cubes in two colours and extra phase cards, together with copper, silver and gold resource cubes, a supplemental score board and an infrastructure track. Everything else plays like the Ares Expedition you know, with simultaneous phase selection and quick rounds, so it is easy to add to your next game and have fun discovering the new twists with even more people at the table. Designed by Nick Little, Sydney Engelstein and Jacob Fryxelius, for ages 14+ and about 60 minutes.
