A Fake Artist Goes to New York – Who's Faking It? 🎨🕵️

Everyone is drawing one picture together – and one of you doesn't even know what it is. A Fake Artist Goes to New York by Jun Sasaki, published by Oink Games, is a drawing and deduction party game for 5 to 10 players aged 8 and up, in about 20 minutes.

Each round, one player acts as the game master, writes a topic on the cards and announces its category – for example, “something red” for the topic “tomato”. Every real artist knows the topic, but one player is the fake artist and gets a card without it. In turn, each artist draws one line of the shared picture: if the topic is “cat”, you might add an ear or a whisker to show the others that you know what it is. The fake must draw a line too. After everyone has drawn two lines, all players vote on who the fake artist is. If the fake avoids the most votes, they win with the game master. And even if they are caught, the fake artist can still win by guessing the topic correctly. So the real artists must prove they know the topic without being too obvious – and the picture becomes a hilarious mess. The compact box contains 10 colour pens, one whiteboard marker, 10 wipeable cards and a 100-page paper pad.
